Porter Marie in Blue

Porter Marie had her 6 month checkup last week. She weighs 15 lbs 7 oz. (40th percentile for weight) and is 27 in. long (90th percentile for height). She was very brave with her shots and LOVED the paper on the exam table. We could barely keep her contained.
Here are a few photos we took of curly-haired Porter wearing a beautiful dress given to her by William and Kaichin. Love her in blue.

Growing Girl

Porter and the Pups

There She Goes!

Lil P first rolled over when she was 10 weeks old. We were in Hawaii and Patrick and I cheered so loudly it startled her to tears. That didn't stop her from flipping and flopping ever since, though. She keeps us on our toes! These are photos of her rolling around at 5 months old.

Open Wide!

Porter has been dying to eat for some time now. She has been mesmerized by watching us eat and mimics our chewing. On her six month birthday, we introduced oatmeal!
She seemed a little unsure about the taste, but loved being fed.
Of course this was a messy endeavor! We can't wait to diversify P's diet as she grows.

6 months old!

Porter Marie is 6 months old! Time has flown by. With a new job and a wedding, I have failed on my blogging upkeep, so I thought I would start here and work backwards and forwards as time allows.
Exactly one week before Lil P's 6 month birthday, she grew her first teeth! Her two bottom teeth have arrived. They are still too tiny to see in pictures, but it won't be long!
At 6 months old, Porter is laughing, rolling every which way, sitting up on her own, REALLY trying to stand on her own, and is VERY chatty. She has traveled on over 30 flights so far and comes with me to work 3 days a week. She has been teething for about 4 months now and loves to grab and chew on whatever she can get ahold of. She LOVES the dogs and loves to look at (and chew on) books. Her eyes are turning browner every day and her hair just keeps getting longer and curlier. She is such a happy girl and brings us endless joy and entertainment.

A New Hobby

You probably know that two of Patrick's favorite things are: knives and creating things with his hands. Recently he decided to combine the two and start creating knives. Here is his first completed project: a custom made handle made out of mango wood, with an EnZo Scandinavian blade. It is beautiful and crazy that his first one is so perfect.

Anyone wanna place an order? :)
